Inspired by a suggestion sent to me for the “Ideas” page; Anime-fan-86 detailed the visual of Miroku and Sango standing on a hill overlooking the deserted exterminators’ village. I actually thought it very beautiful and poignant, but it was only now that I felt really compelled to actually translate it to paper. Er, obviously I can’t draw villages worth squat, but I did this by memory—I lost the tapes where I’d recorded the episodes containing Sango’s debut and I was too busy to go look for reference, but I vaguely remember the way the front gate looked, as well as the presence of a watchtower near the fence. Oh, well.

All in all, I think one of the best things Sango can bring back to her village is Miroku. If she’s going to want the teachings and legacy of her village to live on (and she will), he’s probably the best candidate she’ll find who can record the demon exterminators’ history and way of life.
