My official entry to the aforementioned fanart competition. As you can see, it’s a smooshing of the CG below with another one. It’s another interpretation of a post-Naraku future—somehow I like this one a bit better because my mind simply refuses to process that Miroku and Sango’s story has to end 500 years in the past. Obviously, I don’t know how to draw Hojo, Yuka, or Sayuri (I think I based them more on their manga designs than their anime ones), but it was fun drawing the IY gang all modern-like and trussed up in high school uniforms. I was originally going to depict Inuyasha in his human form, but for some reason I couldn’t go through with it. Hmmm...Glasses!Miroku makes his second appearance in this one, too, doing his best honor-student-slash-technonerd-slash-choir-boy-slash-juvenile-delinquent impression. The laptop seemed a natural accessory; the katakana in the back reads “Baio”, a reference to my Sony-made favorite brand of laptop).
